These were different studies into how vegetation could be used as a surface using a matrix system for vining plants. The project looked into also how vines might be represented using prisma markers and with graphite construction lines and pen overlays. This process was adapted from a number of projects I had done in the past and revealed that the most important parts of a vine to me were represented with the tracery (the woody part that is left when leaves fall) and the leaves and their color.

These sketches would also influence the design of the Turtletown case study which was a low-budget home improvement example of using the framework.
